The scientific legacy of academician Yu.I. Shokin and his role in the development of computational technologies for natural and technogenic safety of Siberia

The article presents the research directions and results of joint worksresearch with Academician Yu.I. Shokin in the field ofon natural and technogenic safety. Particular attention is made on His scientific and organizational activities in the development of research of the problems ofrelated to mechanical engineering problems (strength and resource design, safety of technical systems) and natural and technogenicman-made safety of the Siberian regions of Siberia (monitoring, risks, territorial safety of territories). were particularly emphasized. The article highlights implemented scientific projects based on the proposals of Yu.I. Shokin and with his participation. His role in the development of information and computing technologies applied to the problems of modelling natural and technogenic disasters, monitoring the natural environment and technosphere objects, assessing and managing the risks of developing social, natural and technogenic systems of the Siberian Federal District is shownnoted.
