In this paper a method of the derivation of the dynamic classification scheme of the snow cover is described. Results of the first experiments on the albedo modification dependent on snow classes are presented. The fundamental purpose of the study is an improvement of the snow characteristics description in the hydrodynamic models owing to the accounting for the vertical structure and variation of the physical properties of snow.
